Project 365 Day 14-15

TWO WEEKS DOWN!!!!!!! Only 50 more weeks to go! I Can Do This!!!!

Day 14

Britt's been under the weather so last night I cooked super! A tip for Hamburger Helper is use ground turkey instead of beef. It cuts the calories and tastes just as good.

Day 15

Today I had to go to the court house to renew my tags.

Pic-A-Day Day 2

Here's another pic of me.

Day 2

Not a great picture, but I almost forgot to take it. This is me fresh out of the shower and ready for bed.

Project 365 Day 12

Today has pretty much been boring. I spent most of the day doing laundry and watching MythBusters.

Day 12

This is a picture I drew of Link from Zelda: Twilight Princess. The drawing is too big for my scanner so I took a picture of it! I'm not done with the picture yet, I just didn't want to let myself forget what I can do.

More About Me

They say you can tell a lot about a man by his family, well here is mine.

This is my mother and sister. I get told quite often how the three of us look just alike. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but I can be annoying when a guy gets told he looks like two women.

This is my wife, sister, and brother-in-law. My wife and bro are watching TV while my sis is talking to my mother, who is sitting next to me acroos the room.

This is my dad. He's pretty cool although he can be a bit of a goober sometimes. The six of us are sitting down together at the table for dinner.

My family didn't know I took most of these pictures and are most likely going to KILL me as soon as the see this...hehe. If I don't post for a few days, you'll know why.

NEW PROJECT TIME

For my newest project I'm going to take a picture of my self every day for as long as I can. I got the inspiration from this video off of youtube. I'll then try and make a video myself at regular intervals.

Day 1

Not a great picture of me, but it serves its purpose.

My favorite part of this project is watching the changes: growing out hair, cutting hair, growing a beard, shaving, changing clothing styles, etc. Let's see if we can spot these things in me!

Project 365 Day 10-11

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. Between lack of sleep and physical exhaustion I went to bed when I got home last night.

Day 10

I call this one "Self Censoring." Last night my wife and I went over to my mothers house for a celebratory dinner. My big sister and her husband just closed on their new house. This is awesome because the hour drive to her house is now only like 15 minutes! This is a picture of my mom and sister. It was the only way they would let me take their pictures... or so they think...hehehe.

Day 11

This is an old mossy stump in my back yard. I just discovered today that it is completely hollow! I bet after day 11 your thinking "Man, how many things does this guy have in his back yard?" Well I have an acre lot, so yeah, I have a lot of things in my back yard.

I don't really have many extras today, but I might have one or two that can go on DA.

Project 365 Day 9

Hello all!

Britt finally started a deviant art account! Its at lollie-ollie.deviantart.com. I'll put a link up in the sidebar.

Day 9

Today it is very rainy, so I couldn't get outside to take pictures. Thomas was sitting in the window when I got home. I set the picture on my camera to sepia tone and started taking pictures. I got some amazing shots of him but Tabby decided she needed some attention too. I got a lot of good pictures of the two of them! Check Deviant Art for the rest of the shoot.

Project 365 Day 7-8

Sorry I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. I took some pictures but didn't have time to put them up, so tonight I'm posting yesterday's and today's pictures.

Day 7

I went out in my yard for my picture yesterday. I saw some very pretty pink flowers out in the corner of my yard. I got several good shots of the flowers but the best picture I got was this one. We were headed back inside and I called Britt's name and snapped the shot as soon as she turned around(that's why her arm is turned that way). I'm going to put up the pics of the flowers on DeviantArt if you want to see them.

Day 8

I took my camera to work with me today and got some awesome shots. I just want to clarify that I only took pictures on my breaks. I work in an old warehouse and did some exploring in my spare time. I found these old pipes in the back corner of the building. I have more great pictures and can't wait to post them on DA.

I am so psyched right now! I've made it an entire week! Now lets see if I can make it the rest of the year.

A Little Bit About Me

I've decided to every now-and-again post a few things about me, my likes, dislikes, work, play, etc.
I guess so you can get to know the man behind the pictures.

Today I thought I would introduce you to some of my alter-egos. I work in the children's church at my church. We have a room done up like a barn and we call it Son-E-Brook Farms. I have done lots of puppet work throughout the years but I think this is the most fun I've ever had!

I have three characters down on the farms and the are from left to right: Rocky the Rooster, a formerly fast-talking, rude rooster, now how whole new bird, Harvey the Horse, a old retired redneck race-horse who has slowed down and moved to the farm, and Eduardo the Burro, or Eddie for short, Harvey's cousin who recently moved from Mexico.

I have a blast working with the kids. Well I guess that's it for today. See ya!

Project 365 Day 6

Hey everyone,

I've had a good day today. After church this morning, Brittany and I went to the park. I brought along the camera and got some great shots.

Day 6

This is the sign you see right as you pull off the road into the park. The Old Stone Bridge was the main bridge crossing the river in town many years ago. It was destroyed in 1969 by flooding. Still today it lays in ruins just west of the new bridge. Some of the stones from the bridge were used in the "replica" in the park.

I took quite a few pictures in the park, I chose to use the picture of the sign for today's picture. I got a lot of really good pictures and as usual I'm going to post them on my Deviant Art page so check it out.

Deviant Art and Other Things

I've got all my other pictures up and on deviant art. My page address is terrivar0.deviantart.com there is a like in the side bar. There you can see some of my drawings and pics I've played with in photoshop. I love almost all forms of art and dabble in several of them.

I've also started work on my 101 goals in 1001 days list. If you don't know what that is it should all be explained on my wife's blog(the link is also in the sidebar). She's better at explaining things than I am(she's also doing Project 365 so check it out!). I'll probably post my list on here as soon as I get it done. I'm only at 40 goals right now so it may be a while.

~Steven

Project 365 Day 5

Today I decided to go for a bike ride and took my camera with me. I got a lot of great pictures, but alas I can only enter one pic a day. I'm going to put some of my favorite pictures on my deviant art page(see sidebar for link), so you can see some of the beauty found around my home town.

Day 5

This is the old cotton mill. I pass it every day on my way to work. I live in one of the old "mill houses" that were built for the workers. I like to try to imagine what it was like when it was up and running. Now its mostly used for storage space and the front office, which is separate from the main building, is for rent.

I'll have the rest of the pictures up as soon as I can.

Project 365 Day 4

Wow! Four consecutive days of pictures, I'm proud of myself. I am very ADD and tend to lose track of myself quite often... so this is a BIG step for me. I might actually make it the whole year!

Day 4

A blossom from one of the Bradford pears in my back yard.

Well that's today's pic, now I'm off to buy more batteries. My camera eats them like they were candy.

Project 365 Days 1-3

Project 365 is something I heard about from my wife. To participate in this you simply take 1 picture a day for an entire year. This will help you remember the little things that happened through-out the year and (because everything gets better with practice) help improve your photography skills! I'm going to use this blog as a catalog for my pic-a-day. I actually started taking pictures a couple of days ago but I just now got the chance to sit down and post them.

Day 1

We baby-sat my wife's little brothers a few days this week. This is her older-younger brother.

Day 2

My wife's little bros love Pokemon, so we drug out all of her old cards and we all battled each other. It was lots of fun.

Day 3

We are finally home after 3 days of baby-sitting, Yay!!! This is my favorite cat, Gabby(don't tell the other 2 I said that). She was wondering where we had been.

Well that's all I got for now. Talk to ya later.
